About
Hartley Hightower is the pen name of an author of women's fiction. Her stories center flawed characters, complicated relationships, and strong romantic arcs. She tends to defy certain romance conventions in the interest of telling a genuine, vibrant love story that reckons with the complications of being in love as much as falling in love.
Hartley's work sometimes features older protagonists or age disparities, class friction, power struggles, mixed motivations, quirks, kinks, and big mistakes. Expect humor, conflict, and desire that centers female pleasure.
Hartley's debut duology is a historical adventure-romance set in the Age of Sail. Angel Pirate: Cannibal Camellia and Angel Pirate: Queen of Pirates are available via Amazon.
Hartley's novel 3,000 Miles of This is currently in search of an agent for traditional publication.
Born and raised in the Midwest, Hartley earned a B.A. in English Language and Literature. She now resides in the Pacific Northwest with her husband, two cats, and an unmanageable collection of plants.
